THERMAL INSULATION

Cold insulation

Type of antifreeze insulating materials used:

  • closed cell polyethylene;
  • foam glass type cellular glass;
  • polyurethane in preforms;
  • preformed polystyrene.

Hot insulation

Type of insulating layer for temperatures ranging between 70 ÷ 700 C °.

Insulating materials used:

  • preformed in bio-soluble rock wool or glass wool;
  • quilted mattresses on a metal mesh in biosoluble rock wool;
  • ecological ceramic fibers for high temperatures;
  • semi-rigid panels in biosoluble rock wool treated with thermosetting resins;
  • polyurethane for heat treatments.

Protection on piping with electrical tracing

On this type of piping, only a layer of aluminized sheet (foil type) is applied to protect the electrical cables with the following application of the steps relating to hot insulation.

Vapor barrier for cold pipes (anti-condensation)

As the final layer, a vapor barrier is formed by applying cold bitumen supported by a plaster carrier mesh.

Heat preservation for steam-traced piping

For the preservation of heat, round mesh spiral nets are used wrapped in an aluminized sheet (foil type) with the following application of the steps relating to hot insulation.

Metal finish

Materials used:

  • aluminum sheet of various thicknesses;
  • galvanized sheet of various thicknesses;
  • stainless steel sheet of various thicknesses;
  • corrugated sheets of various thicknesses.
