PROTECTIVE COATING FOR DESOLPHURIZATION AND DENITRIPHIZATION FUMES

At the beginning of the year '90, the major sensibility to the enviromental problems, with the consequent of the reducing of emission of polluting materials, has developed the construction of desophulrization and denitriphization plants.

The producing sector of electric power, utilizing fuels of fossil origin has been more heavily involue in projecting and realization of this sistems.

Realization of plans of such dimension has resulted heavy capital investment, mainly due to the high costs of the metal materials to be use in order to resist to the aggressive operation conditions.

In order to reduce production cost, we have adopted carbon steel protected with organic coating, and use of special alloys utilize only in the working area, where the operation temperatures do not allow the application of the organic coating.

The main caratteristic to be offered by the organic coating, where does for realizing a fair realization cost, a good resistance to the operation condition and a good maintenance in perpetuity

The products that have given best results during the test, depending to previous experience, were been the vinyl resin and butyl rubber.

Our company has been involved in the feasibility study and the implementation of such coating of the first plant realized in Italy, marking cooperation link with the major world industries (Fuji/Apsa for the vinylester activities, Keramchemie/Sgl/Haw for the activities concerning rubbers).

Moreover, we have developed and organization capable to carry on all maintenance and technical assistance necessary to preserve the applied coatings.
